Fall Color

Thanks for all the Birthday greetings, gifts and card! What nice family and friends I have!
I spent the day setting up my new studio space in the Mackay house. (this after tearing out a wall and nearly electrocuting myself) But, I digress.
After the studio set up I took mom and dad for a late afternoon drive to see the fall colors.
Well the fall colors were pretty much gone, but it was a nice drive and likely the last warm day until April!!

Here are some pics from the day.

I don't know, those photos look pretty fall-like to me. I'm sure there was more color a bit earlier but they are still very beautiful as is. I imagine that mom & dad enjoyed it alot.

You and Chuck now have electrocution tales to compare :) The fall colors came and started to fade pretty fast this year. But those pics are pretty nice. Is there still a haze in the air from fires? I love the area above the dam. Glad you had a good B-day. I hope to talk to you soon. If I could get a night off it would be nice... ah well.

I have a near electrocution story I could share as well, but it's embarrassing, so I won't share it. Anyway, I love those photos! I don't miss the cold that comes along with it, but I really miss fall. The leaves eventually fall off most trees down here, but they don't change color, they just fall off. Don't ask me how that works.

Great fall photos and happy belated birthday! I don't like hearing all these electrocution stories-- Be careful people!! :) Sorry that was the overboard motherly part of me kicking in. I bet you had such a beautiful drive. I really like the last picture with the yellow leaves and the river.

Those photos are gorgeous! You really have knack for photography. The fall foliage here in VA has been cool as well, but not as good as in year's past due to the lack of rain out here.
