It's 3:30 in the morning (Fargo time) and I'm just killing time until my shuttle leaves for the airport at 4:30am.The Fargo/Moorhead metro area is not one I would have likely visited on my own, and I see little chance (or need) for my return.
The cold fusion conference has been interesting. At this point my attendance is really more about reinforcing existing connections and attempts to create new ones, rather than learning any groundbreaking scientific information.
On the old connections front the 4 day jaunt has been a success. I have a handful of scientist friends who I actually really like and enjoy spending time with, and many were here. (some I roomed with)
As for new connections... yeah a couple... nothing earth shattering.
I hope a couple will turn into helpful connections in the future. I have been quite surprised what has developed out of past conference meetings, and have visions that these could do the same.
The best part of the whole thing???? The weather. Sunny 70 degrees. aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!
Tomorrow back to the heat and a whirlwind week of meetings, committees, ect. ect. Next weekend looks like the time I will be making up for this all nighter.

fargo...fargo...north dakota? i never was very good at geography.
Yup, Fargo North Dakota.
You must be better than you thought.
(:
Sounds like it went relatively well with all those fellow scientists... Hope you are able to recoup the lost night of sleep on this busy upcoming week. It was great to chat as always.
I didn't know you met with scientists or is that a new way of referring to fellow artists?? I can't imagine why anyone would go to Fargo--especially after seeing the movie of the same name. Why would you even pick it for a conference? Cheap hotel rates. Oh the places you've been...
What are you doing hanging out with scientists? Artists and scientists... is'nt that like trying to mix oil and water? :)
I have been to Fargo, and I dont really remember much other than it seemed like a typical midwestern town.
And I have to take issue with Miste's disdain of the movie of the same name. I think it's fantastic.
