Not enough space.
No covered parking.
In a bad neighborhood.
Bad Floorplan.
Laundry outside.
Bedrooms on second Floor.
Too far from Shopping.
Too far from work.
Too expensive.
Too much fixup.
Too close to a busy street.
Perhaps, I'm just TOO picky considering the money I have.
Went looking a places to buy again. Today was mostly about townhomes and major fixer-uppers. Some possibilities on the townhome front, but in truth all the options are pushing me to the edge of the budget I was hoping to stay well below. It's either go up in monthly payments or lower my standards further. (Is is worth it to have more square feet but be afraid of your neighbors?)
Today I am neither forlorn, nor enthusiastic. Crunching numbers and waiting for a booming voice to guide me to the right choice.
I threw in a picture just for the heck of it. That is Mary my realtor, opening the door to a townhome that is promising. (note the cute balcony above her head).

I DID note the cute balcony. First thing. Tyson and Angel found some of the exact same issues you are dealing with. Frustrating indeed.
Hang in there. SOMETHING will turn up. I'm guessing that you won't get ALL you want, but two out of three would be nice eh?

I also noticed the cute balcony right off. You shouldn't settle for scary neighbors--you already have those in Mackay! Something WILL come your way. Be patient and try to enjoy the journey rather than letting it stress you out!
It's crazy isn't it. It's supposed to be a buyer's market right now with all the forclosures, but it doesn't seem to be working for you....yet.
