Some sort of Record?

If anyone knows the contact number for the Guinness Book of World Records I’m pretty sure I’ve got one for their books.

The record could be titled something like: Most pathetic sibling, (me), OR, Most sympathetic sibling (Karen), but in the end I think they will go for something a tad more official sounding like, “Record for most number of illnesses while on vacation.”
Surely I hold this record.

Sadly for poor Karen a TON of these illnesses have occurred whilst I’m at her house.

This time I waited a whole 48hrs after arrival to contract some nasty cold like virus, and as always Karen was a patient and caring in spite of the germs I spread about her guest room, and the pathetic moans I whined.

I’m still hacking up stuff and not feeling tops, but am safely ensconced in my little Idaho house now, and must give thanks to many:

- Gordon for plowing my drive
- Shane and Bob for shoveling my drive and bringing me supplies, turning on the heat.
- Velma for making me yogurt and supplying all the stuff I seem to be missing. (Hair dryer, toilet paper)
- Alli for drugs she got me (they are from when was sick last summer, but have come in handy again)
- Most of all, Karen Nightingale for taking me shopping, making tea, buying drugs, driving me to my house on hellish roads, making food, giving me presents, and being so darn patient!!!

Forget about that Guinness number, I don’t feel well enough to call. But…..Maybe Karen would….?

Kidding.

I love my figure in the highly realistic image!?! Methinks the virus has made you a bit delirious..I have done nothing extraordinary - but thank you for your kind words. It's always a pleasure to have you visit - virus or not. I hope you recoup quickly so you can enjoy "some" of your vacation.

She is a nightingale isn't she! I think it's the let down of stress you are holding that makes you sick once you hit Karen's house. You don't realize that you have been holding it in until you get someplace comfortable to let it go (Karen's) and hence you get sick. Just a little theory...

I hope you are feeling better, and did not spend the whole holiday quarantined. Sad we didn't get to see you, better luck next time? Good luck on your up and coming trip, can't wait to hear about it!!

Miss you! I am so sorry that you were sick. I agree with Miste, about the let down of stress thing. That happened to me every year while I was in College.

Love you!!
