I just got back from a CRAZY week in Wyoming as a visiting.....scientist? (he, he)
I worked all week with students at the University of Wyoming. It was fun to be away from the stresses of Tucson, but since I had to be "on" about 12-14hrs a day it was tiring too.
On my last day my host took me to Vidavu (not sure if that is spelled right). These crazy rock formations just outside of Laramie. I have driven by them many times on my way through the region but never known where to get off and really look. These are a couple of shots from there. We couldn't go far because of the snow, but it did make me want to go back another time.
Today I flew back through Denver. Long story short: I'm back in Tucson with no bag after spending a total of 4 hours on tarmacs. 3 hours on planes in air, and another 3 hours running from gate to gate to customer service trying to get ON planes.
Denver had "blizzard" conditions today, so I really am grateful just to be back on land.
Sure hope the bag comes in tonight!!

Oh no! I hope your bag makes it home safe and sound!
Those rock formations are AMAZING! You just don't see that kind of stuff around here. Makes me miss the west!
Those ARE really cool rocks. Hasn't the weather this year just been wacky! Glad you made it home safe & sound.
