California poppies/Arizona heat

This is Tucson's version of spring, and I have to admit it looks quite enticing.
The house is Kelly's and I live in the guest house right behind, so for days I have been admiring the California poppies. Today is the first day I have been home before 8 oclock and seen them in full glory. It got quite warm today, low 80's so I don't think the flowers will last must longer.
Kelly has a very nice well tended yard compared to most in the area who mainly have pea gravel and weeds.
So, just thought I would share some lovely images from here. Once the heat starts that is all I am likely to talk/complain about!

Wow! That is gorgeous! Not something I would ever have imagined possible down there. How lucky that you get to live there and see if, if even for a short lived spell.
Glad to see you made it through the week, I'll call tomorrow afternoon to get the inside scoop. K?

Oh my goodness. This is a beautiful yard. I love the poppies and all the green. This would certainly brighten my day even if I knew soon the sun will wilt them away. Thanks for posting pictures. Makes me pine for spring/summer even more.

The California poppies are beautiful, but what's up with those house colors?? Is it really that olive green with purple trim?

Yeah, crazy house colors here are super popular.
This house is actually a really dirty ocher yellow and a pinkish purple. I actually like it in person, but then I like a lot of stuff other people think is pretty weird.

I like the house. I think it fits with the flowers, which are amazing. Sometimes I think here in the north, we are to afraid of color and looking different. That house has personality.
