One more post (as if I’m still in Italy). I’m actually in Idaho(thanks to Des for picking putting me up) and on my way to a camping family reunion, but I have a small window to finish out the last of my Italy trip.
No worries though, I’ll be posting more about it later too. (I’m sure all 4 of you readers would be broken up not to have more details.
So the final weeks. Well, Crazy and I returned to Orvieto to wrap up classes and pack up, then on to Florence and finally Milano. The Italian heat finally turned on, and the last week was a sweaty dripping hell for me. (complete with “sweat rags” in each pocket for wiping off the drips and the purchase of another hand fan)
In short, hostels and hotels without AC, but with bedbugs, led to days seeking the coolest spots available. This usually meant any large church we could find. I’m including pictures from Florence, Milano, and one final lovely photo of the beautiful Duomo in Orvieto.
If anyone really wants to know the details of where and what anything is, just let me know.
In the end I was thrilled to get on that plane for the US, just to get out of the heat.
Other than the hormone problems and extreme heat the trip was marvelous. Great experience. I picked up a smattering of Italian, made so new friends, saw amazing places, laughed a great deal, surely cleaned out my pores with all that sweating, and most important, learned a bit more about myself and the world I live in.
(ps. The picture of me, crazy, emily and an older woman is proof we were all together in the Dolomites)

Sorry it was such an overheated end to your adventure but still worth it nevertheless I'm sure. Something you and crazy will remember forever I'm sure. Beautiful photos as always! Will be excited to see and hear more--maybe August when I come??
I am glad that you are back and all is well. The pictures are amazing and the stories and equally. Sounds like it was defiantly a taste of the bitter with the sweet. Hope you are enjoying the reunion, and are loving it back home. I can't wait to hear the stories in person. Love ya tons!!
It was a blast! Thanks SO much for letting me tag along and experience a little slice of Italy. I could have done without the last couple of sweltering days but then we wouldn't have all the cool pics of door knockers now would we?
Love you and hope you're recouping from EVERYTHING!!!
I, for one, would be extremely broken up not to have more details. I'm glad your home and hopefully hormones are starting to balance now. It was so good to see you. THese pictures seem like a dream to me.
