The time is already flying!Whaaaa.
James and I bonded by making a robot body that he can wear. He is actually more interested in "communicating" with the robot via the console we made on the kitchen table.
In fact so far I have been able to get him to do quite a few things via that console. He goes and presses the buttons and then I make beep beep sounds, and in a robot voice give him commands. Sometimes HE makes up the robot commands himself.
He has been willing to eat food, take a bath and go to bed with little argument based on the directions of the robot.

My favorite was wehn he was given the choice to take a bath or go to bed. James was crying and I told him to check with what the robot suggested. He went into the kitchen, beeped about a bit and came back very dejected, but done crying and remarked. "He says take a bath".Which James then did with no more tears.
fun..
Ok, I have littel time and must run.

Cardboard madness! I love it!
I especially like the last pic where the robot seems to be contemplating the decisions before him... He's grown quite a bit since I saw him last. I'm thrilled that you get to be up there. Hope the time away does you well. How's the aching back holding up?
I love it! Should have tried something like that when Chase was smaller or maybe on Kenna now. My princess is getting an attitude. Looks fun. I hope that all of your visit went equally well.
love it!
What a funny kid. He looks so much more grown up now. Sounds like you are have fun. What a great time for everybody.
What an awesome aunt! Sometimes it takes someone else coming in with a new idea. I bet Aleta loved it...maybe she still is???
