Will there be snakes INSIDE the studios? This from the timid sculptor from Seattle who seems very concerned about the rattlesnake and tick possibilities. He did go for a walk this morning in the open fields, so must have conquered his fears.
The photos here are nothing stunning, but do tell a bit about the experience I will be having. No cell reception on site. You either have to walk, drive or ride a mile or so uphill to "the phonebooth".
(the pile of rocks pictured here) The next shot is the view of the Cloud Peaks in the Bighorn range which is the view from "the phonebooth".
Today was my first attempt at phonebooth use. I rode my new to me mountain bike (which I THINK has pedals that are too short) up the hill.. Ok, I actually pushed it most of the way.
Made a call to mom, tried to return a call to Desiree and ran out of battery before I could return a call to Crazy. (must remember to charge it!)
Not really sure what to do with myself. Still have a few of the clinging ducks from AZ, but won't mess with them on Sunday. Looking into some local drives to waterfalls and petroglyphs and hoping I get better at that bike!!
So far my only disappointment is based on pure jealously. Very telling. (about me I mean)
I'll post more later with pics of studio/bedroom etc. Mostly for you mom!

Oh! I hope you have a wonderful time! How long are you staying?
The phone booth calls to mind the rock wall from "The secret Lives of Bees". You could post your jealousies and disappointments in the cracks between the rocks. Just think how cathartic that would be.
The view is actually rather lovely in the springtime way of Wy/Id. Hope you enjoy your time!
Glad to hear your alive and doing well, albiet sans cell usage in most parts.
I'm hear until the 13th of June.
I wish I could put notes in the rocks, but they are behind a barbed wire fence.
xoxo
