Turns out the outdoor pools in Casper don't open until June, and since someone had thrown a pizza in the hotel pool (making it unswimmable for several days) the availability of pools became very important.

Who would have thought I would drive to Casper for a day of leisure and looking for pools? But with the lure of Alli and the girls, who drove up with Aaron on a work trip, it was a perfect reason to visit the much maligned capitol of Wyoming.

So, yeah it was the girls who were itching for a swim. We attempted to turn their attention elsewhere. Parks, random driving, a trip to a museum"Discovery Center" (which really consisted of a bunch of tables with paper scissors and glue sticks) but their yen for a swim was undiminished. (hopefully they found the city pool the next morning!)

Such great kids. Good tickles with Riley, some counting and coin lining up with Sydney and Abby truly enjoyed riding in the "comfortable" back seat of my truck. A short but fun dinner with Aaron at the end of the day. (he sure has his hands full at work)

Best of all though, was getting to visit with Alli. I'm happy to report she is a trooper hauling that baby boy around in her tummy, and I so enjoyed getting to chat and laugh.

It was a great visit. Short but worth it.

ps. The picture is of some of the people Riley and Abby made at the "Discovery Center".

I thought maybe the "people" were part of your cold fusion research! Those girls are cuties for sure. Nice that you got to visit. Glad to hear Alli is doing okay with the boy so far. Sounds like it was a nice visit despite the lack of a pool!

What lovely art folk created by some lovely little visitors. How nice that you got to see them, albeit shortly.
