Still Shoving

Only a 1/4 of a mile. Straight up... and totally worth it.

I'm lucky that Peggy and Gordon let me tag along now and then on their treks around the valley. Most recently I slowed them down on the short but steep hike to Green Lake.

One of the pictures here shows the steep little cascading stream you follow up to the lake.

Look close in the second shot of the stream. Gordon (newly christened "Goat Man" is way down there taking some shots)

Check out his blog as I assume some stellar images from the jaunt will be up soon.

Another fun day, and I managed to get a new stump for my yard out of the deal too!

Ahh Green Lake. That one IS a gem. We've been there two times that I remember. After one visit Chuck managed to get the pickup SEVERELY stuck in a bog on our way out. I remember seeing loads of impressive stumps as Kels and I walked down to try and find some help.
Can't wait to see your stump. Your pics are lovely as usual. Glad to see you're managing to get a little fun squeezed in here and there between "have to" stuff.

Hope you didn't have to lug the stump down the steep climb. Great pictures. I'm sure Peg & Gorden love having you along.

I've heard that you are an expert stump finder; that you were commissioned to find one out of a helicopter in the remote wiles of Alaska. It seems like an odd skill for a cold fusion scientist to have.

Gorgeous photos, as always.

As stumps go this one was only average, but I had willing lifters and the back of a pickup!

We cold fusion scientists are multifaceted really.
