Other Shoe

Perhaps Miste is prophetic with her Whitney Houston analogy, and I'm about to have my first hit single in years. (Bobbie Brown and Mary should meet.. really)

My offer on another property has been accepted. It is a foreclosure this time and we only have 5 days to do inspections and back out.

Talk about a change of pace. Short sales are all about months of waiting and foreclosures are about shoving the buying process through as quickly as possible.

Right now it seems like I've lucked into a very nice property for a very good price. (still waiting for the other shoe to drop...and I suppose it could happen at inspection again) Nancy, my new realtor, will be getting a gonga deal herself if this goes through, since I have only worked with her for a week and 1/2!

I really like the feel of this place, and it is by FAR in the best condition of anything I've looked at.
It is a compromise on location and maintenance, but after 4 months of intense looking it is really the best deal for my needs I have seen.

Cross your fingers for me that there is no "other shoe", and I'll let the ride continue.

ps. Yes the outside is the color of a stale bandaid, and no I can't change it. On the bright side it is better than the orange kitchen!

Hey! That looks pretty sweet! Nice wood floors, clean looking (non-orange) kitchen, open living space... I wouldn't have called the outside that particular color name. You have now imprinted it in my mind though. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed, praying and hoping...
good luck!

Ooohh, I hope this works out for you, it looks great!! Did you have to compromise on your garage? I couldn't tell from the pic if it was a yours, a car port or an actual garage.

See the Whitney analogy was appropo! Fingers & toes crossed!! That's why you had that "feeling"

It is half garage half carport.

One side is open to the front patio area which is semi-secure with a high brick wall and security gate.

Not sure if that makes sense.

I'll post more pics if I actually get it.
