Less than 24hrs back in the Old Pueblo and it feels like I never left.
BUT, I know I did, and I'm very grateful to the friends and family I was lucky enough to see during my all too short visit to the gem state.
Some of them came an awfully long way to hear a slightly rambling lecture, snack on veggies and brownies, view the "adequate" cold fusion projects then turn right back around for the return long drive. (I hope at least the brownies didn't disappoint)
Others had more prolonged exposure to my genius and were generous enough to host me in their home, buy me special treats, take days off work, and share their vehicles. (Many Thanks to Crazy and the Cheesmaker!)
Some made the long journey post reception showing off their show off worthy offspring, and one sibling even scheduled a flight so that our paths would cross.
My whole trip was made possible (food wise) by mom making me hordes of yogurt and almond pancakes. (not to mention the Delta airline worker who turned a blind eye to my overweight bag stuffed with the yogurt)
All of the love and support this last week reminded that I am fortunate. Like a gasp of air after being underwater the visit refreshed me and re-confirmed that some things just don't matter.
Now to hold onto that thought in this weeks meetings!

That's what I always take home when I visit "some things just don't matter" Always good to come home and regroup. Great to see you! Enjoyed the CDs so far. Will reciprocate when home.
I loved the presentation! It's so interesting to me. I think many of your same thoughts, but would never think to represent them as you do.
Love you ducky, it was good to see some of your new work. I loved it!
Plus, my mom is not that mad. She just said I was supposed to tell you, to make you feel bad, and she was just kidding.
YOU ARE the BEST! I love, love, loved having you here. How's about we do it again some time? Only this time we'll both be relaxed and have all the time in the world to visit...
I can dream right?
I'm bummed it didn't work out to come see your cold fusion projects!!! Glad to hear it all went well for you and from what I'm hearing....they are far more than adequate ;)
