I LOVE LOVE LOVE being out of the Barbie Dream house, and so far it has been fabulous to be in the new digs.
I'm far from being settled in, and manage to drop a couple hundred bucks a day
getting random small "essentials" like kitchen drawer organizers, shower caddies and the odd patio set.That was a clunky segue, but I promised mom I'd post a picture of the patio set I got off Craigslist. (where else?)
Also putting in a picture of my current living room configuration. (a bit hodgepodge, but I'm just getting started...musing paint colors at present) My friend Maria says I should write a book called "Furniture Under Fifty" about decorating with furniture all purchased for less than $50 a piece. Somehow I don't think it would be a best seller.
The tub pics are attempting to illustrate Roberta's magic cleaning skills by posting a before and after of the scary tub, but since the "before" picture isn't clear it doesn't have the miracle effect it did in person. Trust me it was a pretty spectacular reveal.
And finally, a mushroom in Tucson. I'm told it isn't that rare, but in my nearly 10 years here I have never seen one, and this one was just out in the open in some pea gravel.
I'm choosing to see it as a good omen forecasting miraculous transformations.

Ahhh!!! the biggest hurdle is over. Glad y'all survived. Looks like Bert worked wonders. And I think there WOULD be a market for that book! There are a heck of a lot more people who can't afford stuff over $50 bucks than those who can....
