It's Snowing!

Maybe I've crossed the line between frugal and cheap while simultaneously pushing my decor from eclectic to tacky. Regardless, I'm still super excited because I can finally open my blinds!

Two windows and a patio door in my place face west and are directly at the end of a cul de sac. This means tons of sun (re: HEAT) and no privacy if the blinds are open. As a result they have been closed 95% of the time since I moved in.

It's finally getting close to cooler end of the heat factor here, but the privacy thing does not go away.

I've been looking for a long time for some sort of removable window treatment that would let light in and keep lookers out. All for a bargain price of course.

Lots of cool looking options that are ridiculously priced, and some cheap options that look pretty tacky. Just when I was about to give up.....

Clearance frosted snowflake vinyl for 1/3 the price of the plain stuff. Hmmm? "I can totally live with snowflakes" I said to myself as I pressed "order" on the website.

I installed them last night (like wayyy last night) and was super excited to actually open my windows this morning and check out how they worked.

Hurrah!!! Kitchy snowlfakes? Who cares, I have light.

Perfect!
I think they're fun. And as you said - light IS light!
It makes ALL the difference inside.
Way to go you bargain shopping fiend.

I really like them! I needed those in the other house (i.e. the house that wont sell) our bathroom window was facing Sunnnyside. So although you love the light you love not being seen naked more! I get it!

I like them too! How else would you have snow in Arizona. Enjoy the light.
