Is that some special fall color?
No.
Oh it must be a "scientists" thing.
No...I just think it's funny.
Silence.
The fill in dental hygienist's query was directed at the chipping lime green polish on my ratty toenails. (after she had already discovered my day job)
Pretty much any anomaly will be blamed or attributed to my cold fusion penchant. Perhaps rightly so... I'm not sure.
I will own that I'm often compulsive, random, and a bit too emotional, all qualities stereotypically attributed to the cold fusion type. Additionally I'll own that I over tape packages, floss daily, and hate hate hate to be late. These don't seem so obviously cold fusion related.
I AM sure that the compulsive tinkering thing DID get me into a mire this week, and I'm not sure how to get out. In a burst of cool weather energy I painted the 6ft brick wall enclosure of my front patio.
It isn't pretty.
I'd show pictures.. but right now I'm too embarrassed. Once the mess is beyond the tears stage (assuming it ever will be) I promise I'll post before, middle and after pictures.
Until then, trust me, the tinkering thing isn't always a raging success. Much like my green toes.. it's just plain funny looking.

Looks like Halloween to me...
It's incredibly frustrating when time is invested in "tinkering" and it ends up looking worse than before..? I know you'll figure a way to resolve it - it's what cold fusion experts like you do. I tend to walk past said failures with my head turned and eyes averted until it becomes like the photos on a fridge invisivle. That is until someone points it out and asks "Wha...?
The outdoor painting must mean it's starting to become reasonable temperatures there now?
Personally I LIKE the lime green nails - and you!
Your toes made me laugh. Sorry about the brick wall. Seems like anytime I pick out a paint color I don't like it. I have been living my last choice for many years now--the aweful green trim in my living/dining room. One day I will repaint--maybe!
Lovely green!! I am sorry to hear that your tinkering did not pan out this time. I have no doubt that you will triumph in the end! Can't wait to see the before middle and end!
I love your toes! I like to put bright funky colors on my toe nails. I think it's fun and give a bit of personality. I had to go to a foot doc this week and he also told me they were quite interesting. I had dark blue with glitter. :)
I would so put that color on! That or bright orange, or red maybe I need to paint my nails.
Honestly I have always thought you brave with the tinkering thing. 90% of the time I do something, it turns out terrible, and I don't take criticism very well. So I just don't do it. That is yet another reason why you are amazing, you will for sure figure out a way to fix it! The project, not the being amazing part.
I'm not convinced....I believe the tinkering of the wall will be fabulous...just like the green toes.
I've never put a very funky color on my toes...don't know why? Probably because I don't have an ounce of the "cold fusion" inside of me :( Now I want some funky toes, too....next summer :)
Carry On!!!
