Just this morning I was telling mom I didn't have anything to post. (and actually, I don't really now) In spite of being super busy playing catch up, there is little to report as I'm still in the la la land of denial. (I think that might be a good thing)
But, in trying to get back to my 10 days between posts goals, I remembered something I thought was funny, my newest view barrier.
It all started with a couple of pots I got from a thrift store last year, but never used. Then after my surgery a similar pot came as the container for get well flowers, and, BING. Why not collect cheap white/cream pots and slowly but surely block 8 inches more of my neighbors view of my space?
So there they are, the wall of diversionary pots. Since I've only been randomly seeking these for a few weeks (and I won't spend more than a couple bucks) this is all I have for now. It is enough to block the window and actually pretend it is a design choice.
With benefit of rocks in the bottom they withstood a severe windstorm this week, so I fully expect they will serve the diversionary purpose until my shrub/tree grows large enough to do the job for real.
Told you it wasn't REALLY post worthy. (:

Hey! All you have to do is fill those pots up with plants, and you'll have an even taller privacy pot fence!
Yeah, the plant thing has also crossed my mind, but I didn't do it this spring because I leave in the summer and they would all burn up.
For now they are just pots... next fall I'm thinking pots with herbs..tall ones.
(:
What an awesome idea. When it is complete you will have to send it into a magazine. Oh, Oh I know you could fill them with bird seeds and watch the birds. Okay maybe Arizona is to hot for birds during the day. Just a thought. Plus, now I can help you collect them.
Oh yeah. I know just what's gonna happen here. You'll have a bazillion pots in no time. I think it's brilliant. And at least you throw in a post now and again...
Hope you're feeling 100% or at least 90 :0)
Those pots are a fine idea...I'd try most anything if it provided me with more privacy.
Hope you keep feeling better with each day....
I've never been the same since they took my gallbladder away :( Bottomline...it just stinks! I didn't really feel like there was another good option, though. So...I've learned to deal with it. Watch what I eat, excercise and drink lots of water, water, water...if I do that, I feel almost normal :)
Take care and it doesn't hurt to stay in the denial zone for a while :)
Oh yeah....ENJOY HAWAII!!!!!!
Clever, clever girl. Perhaps you could cement them to the wall and then you wouldn't have to worry about them falling off. At least you are sticking to your vow to post regularly.
Spencer says "You painted your wall a different color and it's not the color I chose. It's not okay and I don't like it. The end. Love Spencer"
I think you can pick whatever color you want and I think it looks just fine. Of course that's what mom would say. Fine. Everything is just fine.
I just love the phrase diversionary pots. I'm going to have to work that into a conversation.
