This years Wildhorse gathering was rather quiet and sparse compared to years past, but I enjoyed the beauty and visiting with those who did come. A new large mosquito tent donated by Gordon and Peggy made games and eating more enjoyable, although setting it up proved an adventure.
We have a couple of alternate locations for a reunion for next year and are hoping to send out a survey of sorts to get feedback. These family gatherings mean a great deal to mom, so I'll keep doing whatever I can to help her make it happen.
Speaking of Velma...I've been trying to help her with things at her house this summer. I sorely neglected her last year with the tile project and am trying to make up for it this year.
So far we have; cut down a tree, put up a cat barrier of sorts of the fence, revamped the sprinkler system, planted loads of stuff, and this week I painted a bathroom and downstairs bedroom.
Nothing very picture worthy really, but that is what is occupying my time.
OH, yes and we "stroll" every morning for about 2 hours. That is probably the best part.
(:

Wish I could have been there! Next year!
I am so glad you get to spend the time with Grandma. It helps to have no regrets. Your priorities are in the right place
Wish I could have been there, too. I missed it. Next year, with Desi. I'm also glad your are with Grandma. Just being there means the most.
Ahh...looks like the flowers were there a plenty. Glad it turned out for those who were able to come. Strolling sounds good, especially in good company.
Hope to get to do some strolling , or visiting with you myself sometime soon.
You've been busy this summer!
I would have to agree with the strolling being the best part...I enjoy talking with your mom :)
Enjoy the remainder of summer!!!!
