6:30 on a Friday night, frustrated from a half hour search for a meeting spot that didn't seem to exist, we looked for something to kill an hour until we could meet up with my friend.
Pedicure? Why not?
(Actually we wanted a reflexology treatment, but the practitioner was occupied, so pedicure it was.)
Sadly for Miste, this may have been the high point of her visit here to Tucson!
She came on Thursday afternoon and hung out with me around school.
Friday we took a jaunt up Mt. Lemmon where we went from saguaros to snow in 30 minutes, and helped a local community volunteer take down the flag for the day.
That night we were supposed to meet my friend Juliet with her girls for a school "lantern walk", but did not have the proper coordinates. (insert pedicure and images of the grossest pile of foot skin you can imagine....from me of course)
Saturday was a pilgrimage (in Desiree's honor)to the Miniature museum. All those extra shots are meant to entice Miss Des down for a visit. (:
That night we went to a dance performance inspired by Emily Dickinson's work, which was.... hmmmm? Well...it had some good moments.. mostly the music.
Sunday was lazy, full of movie watching and rain rain rain. Yup it hasn't rained here in weeks, but 3 of Miste's 4 days here were cloudy and rainy.
In spite of the rain we took a quick jaunt up to a local sunset viewpoint in hopes of catching some color. It was pouring, but we DID indeed get a glimpse, and we had it all to ourselves..because it was POURING!
Shipped her back off to the real home of rain today. It was super sunny here as she left of course.
It was great to have her around for a few days, and in spite of my tender feet (Yeah, some of that pile of skin maybe should have stayed attached) I'm super glad she came!

RAIN!?!? What the... Seattle weather in AZ?!!
Cute toes and miniatures! A good pedicure is lovely - but when there's a tad too much callus removed it can be less than comfortable. Too bad you didn't connect with Juliet though.
Sounds like you filled the days with some fun things. Movie days with the excuse of wet weather sounds perfect to me! :0)
The canyon crevice and sunset shots are lovely.
Glad you had a nice visit.
What beautiful toes you have! Love a good pedicure. LOVE that miniature museum...how fun! I had an aunt who had a "doll mansion" and I remember looking at it for hours...the lights worked, the doorbell rang....so realistic...those pictures brought back those memories...thanks!
Sister time is ALWAYS a good time...glad Miste could come visit...the rain following her there was misfortunate...especially for her ;)I bet she was looking forward to the AZ sun.
Sounds like a very good and relaxing time.
It was an awesome visit! Luckily we DID connect with Juliette and those adorable little girls (post pedicure). As I said to many a person, I was there to see my sister not for the weather. It was all good! Still loving the pedi!
Okay that trip sounds like the one when I was pregnant with Dillon and came to see you. I have never seen that much rain, granted it doesn't sink into the ground like it does here. But I did get those cute earrings from the gem show, thing.
You sure are enticing me to come and see you. There are tons of things to do there. I just need to make it happen.
Cute toes. I'm sure the company was well worth the rain
How funny! I spent all day Saturday and Sunday creating doll house miniature furniture. And then I saw your blog today and the doll house museum. I'm eyeing that green sofa and trying to figure out how I can make one...
