Christmas in the Summer

The last couple of weeks have been spent holed up in my little house working madly on my cold fusion research. All the seclusion leads to much thinking. I always seem to be thinking of where I was in years past and comparing it with my situation now.
Hence this post. Twice in the last 7 years I have been fortunate enough to spend the Christmas holidays in New Zealand. So strange to fly into full summer and long days. Both trips were amazing, inspiring, fun and challenging. I hope to spend more Christmas's in the summer of New Zealand.

I promised Kelsey a long time ago I would post some of these pictures anyway, so this is all a grand ruse so I can share images from my favorite country other than the U.S. (Favorite SO FAR)

So, shall we set a date for our Christmas in New Zealand? I'm thinking 2010? How does that strike you? You KNOW we are going there together. I have a little saving plan started - emphasis on the little, but you have to start somewhere right?!?
Gorgeous Pics of course. You are just plain amazing.

It's not me that is amazing. You could probably take a blind person to NZ and they would get amazing pictures.
Hopefully we both have our eyesight in 2010. Let's start saving and hoping. I think I can be convinced to go quite a few times.

Your photos are always amazing. I have some from the England trip on my computer "desktop" a work. People always comment on my computer screen. I switch them out periodically. Those photos were amazing too. You DO have a talent!

So, you really, really are invited to come to Rexburg. It's not NZ, but we have mountains, and I would cook........ well, maybe not cook, but I guarantee you would be taken care of and have a good time.

Wow! Thanks for posting these gorgeous pictures. I think you are being modest saying that anyone could get these great shots- I doubt it. You are a wonderful photography among many other things.
