Anyway, I was thinking (with self pity) that this time next week I will be in the Tucson sun.
Now that all the cold fusion research is ready to be sent out into the world, I'm off to the ol teaching grind.
The pics here are just of my little yard and the view out my window the morning after the snow. The last one is one of my favorite sites here. A cute little old man in his eighties that walks whenever he can. (mostly every day) He chugs along with a short step shuffle. He is inspiring.
For some great pics of the new snow check out Gordons blog. I'm so jealous of that zoom lens!!
If something brilliant happens I'll post again before I go, but time is short and the jobs to get done are long.... so most likely you'll be seeing my next post from the old pueblo.

Although the snow looks beautiful in these pictures, especially the way it coats the roofs of the old shed/barn/shacks, I can't say that I miss it. I am so glad you were able to spend this year at home and not in the hot sun. Good luck finishing everything up. That old man is inspiring. He looks so cute...like I could just run up and give him a hug.
I was wondering if you would get any of that "big storm" that dumped snow in California. It looks beautiful. The one and only time we went to Mackay for Christmas I was so disappointed there wasn't any snow. Hope you got your schedule all settled and it will be a good term!
There is a woman who lives just below our house who goes out most day all year round and uses the little walking sticks as well. She is a cutie too.
The snow looks lovely. I always figure if it's going to be cold you should at least get snow so it looks pretty.
