Here I am in a noisy rather cheap hotel in St George. My options.... shop at the Old Navy next door, watch cable TV, eat all the food I have out in my truck (always tempting) surf online. etc etc. I don't want to watch TV even though I haven't really had access to it since last May. Somehow watching will mean I'm that much closer to my real life job. Not into Old Navy. Already ate most of the food on the drive and am currently Thanksgiving full. Already looked at blogs and the thrill "surfing" just doesn't do it for me.
SO, I'm going to make a short post (already too long really) and then read a book. It really is easy to pretend I'm no where near my job, my new abode, my bitter colleagues. I'm going to go with this until the saguaro are right in my face and the pea gravel is crunching under my shoes.
I had a nice night last night with Crazy lady. We DID talk fish and all sorts of other stuff. She and her hubby are always such nice hosts. Chuck was making cheese (THAT sounds funny) and it was funny in real life!
Tomorrow I will be in the ol pueblo and off in high gear.
I'm attaching pictures that have nothing to do with where I am. Crazy Lady liked these last night, so I'm posting them for her.
They are from a nice drive I had with Peggy and Gordon in Mid November. A lovely view of Sheep Mt. and the stream from Stuart canyon as it froze over. It was a nice day, although I am convinced I am a jinx for any photo trips Gordon goes on.
Anyway... back to the denial. Try it some time.

Just got home from the baptism and then the temple trip. Thanks for leaving me the message that you had arrived safely. I too enjoyed our visit last night. It's always good times when you're around.Hope the rest of the journey goes without mishap and that all turns out well in the land of heat, sugaros and pea gravel. Love you!
I love the second picture- very cool. I am sorry you have to go back to pea gravel, sugaros, and bitter coworkers. But...what a better send off than watching Chuck make cheese. That does sound funny. I like how you ended this post- denial you should try it sometime. I think we all do it quite a bit. I know I do. Otherwise life is too stressful and overwhelming. I am sending good vibes you way and wishing you a great school year!!
Oh, You are both such sweeties.
I need whatever good vibes I can get. I try to send out as much as I can to all of you too!
Good to know you got there safely. I can only imagine Chuck making cheese. Hope your little pad will work out okay and you won't be needing it long
Glad you arrived safely, if not happily to your destination. Denial, avoidance, we've all done that! You'll get through one way or another, life is like that. Stay tough.
Denial sounds great. I can't decide what to be in denial about first. There's just too many things to choose from.
It was so good to talk to you. You're always welcome to call.
Good luck with school.
