"Was it worth in?" Yeah, I said, even though exhausted and battling a cold.
It was.
Gordon and Peggy and I hiked up to some springs in the valley. Farther than the "one mile" guess, it was still really cool to see the water shooting out the side of the mountain and the beautiful falls.
I don't have any decent pictures of the springs or falls, but I'm sure Gordon will post some good ones.
Gordon took tons of pictures while Peggy and I tried to recover from scrambling up slopes and through streams.
When I got home (around 9:30) I did a tick check since one had been found on Gordon while hiking.
Sure enough, one was scrambling up my back and I promptly panicked and flung it across the room. Later with thorough searching I found two more hanging on to my discarded shirt.
I'm not one to panic, as most of you know, but I think ticks are my most embedded phobia ever since having one burned off the back of my neck as a kid.
If asked was it worth it at the point of killing those ticks, my answer would have been different!
I'm off now for the land of poky things and dry heat.

Pretty? yes! The hike sounds a little less so. Glad to see you on your way through. Hope the cold symptoms are lessening and the travels went well.
It was very pretty and maybe not the best hike. Thanks goodness you got the ticks before they got you. Hope you move in well. Have you got a condo or what?
I love the picture of the "Eye in the Needle" (Aaron told me the name). I HATE TICKS, TOO! Why are they even on earth? They are probably something's food source....they need to eat them into extinction!!!!! On a happier note, hope all is well in AZ.
