Bad Judgement

I once told someone that the only part of Wyoming really worth seeing was the western portion; Yellowstone, the Tetons, etc.
Hmmm? Shows me I'm too quick to judge AND too quick to judge without having all the facts.

I've been out and about today for nearly 12 hours, all in the Big Horn and Cloud Mountains. The weather didn't look like it was going to allow for the trip, but I plowed ahead as todays forecast was better than any other in the week.

One of the other residents was supposed to go with me, but too much drinking last night in celebration of a resident's birthday left most of them too hung over to rise. Amazingly I was up at 6 and ready to go. (after 4 hours sleep) Yikes!

Anyway, I'm actually glad I went alone. I could stop when, where and how long I wanted and in general drag the day into it's fullest.

Anyway, it was such a diverse day I don't even know where to start. I'll just post the pictures and you can ask me if you really want to know any actual locations.

Another FABULOUS day.

Sorry for all the pictures.... I just couldn't narrow down any more.

Jumpin Jehosaphat!!! I too was of the same opinion about WY. And you saw some gorgeous stuff! What a great day. And petroglyphs too! I'm glad you had a good day. Also glad that you didn't encounter a bear, or any other wild critter who might not have liked an intrusion. Glad you got some decent weather. We had a brief window of sun before the gray rolled in - again.
I'm glad you had a great day.

Amazing scenery and photos! Sounds like an awesome day just kicking around. Whow knew?? I guess people from Wyoming. The previous post is pretty great too. Love the visual of the old lady you got the syrup from. Too bad you couldn't eat it though. Sounds like this has been a grand adventure for you!

Wow! You're having quite the adventures in good 'ole Wyo. I grew up in Green River, Wyo. until I was 16 yrs. old (don't know if I've mentioned that before) Wyoming does have its share of hidden treasures BUT there is a lot of sage brush and BLAH places, too.

Here's my moving from Wyoming to Utah Story (short version):

The first thing I saw as I walked into my new Jr. High in Utah was a couple boys wearing ropers (cowboy boots with the fringe). I thought, "Why are they wearing boots to school". Come to find out, a lot of people in Santaquin, Ut. believe they are cowboys. I have news for them....they're not!

I wasn't sure whether to answer you quesiton on my blog or yours. I chose yours. School ends for the boys on June 19. I have "offically" work until July 1!! If I can get all my stuff done before (which I hope to do) I will leave early because I have lots of over time put in.
