A Break in Tucson

I've lived in Tucson for 10 years, but I've never spent a Christmas break here. It flew by filled with some long hours of cold fusion research, calls with family and friends, and a visit from Roberta and Gordon.

It was great to have their company for nearly a week. We played games, went to thrift shops (and a pawn shop) watched movies, ate good food, designed a mural for Bert's living room, took a scenic drive, all interspersed with plenty of lounging about.
Taking guests to Gates Pass for the sunset is becoming a bit of a tradition, and though not as spectacular as some other nights I've taken people, we still weren't disappointed. It was lovely to have their company, and hope they weren't too bored.

All too soon the break is done, visitors gone, lounging over.
I'm grateful to family and friends who helped me occupy my first Christmas break in Tucson.

I am sure they were not bored, it was probably just the break they needed. Plus, company is good sometimes, especially at Christmas.

I am glad you got some work done. I know that you have been wanting to do that for some time. Not the best Christmas ever, but I am sure you were not expecting it to be any better all things considered.
